at a certain point,

you have to make a little substack.

i’m writing this at a point when i am “making a go of it,” which means trying to be serious about myself as a writer, which means writing things that might not find a home.

so the idea of this little guy is to be a home for writing that doesn’t fit elsewhere - work that’s more personal, more scrappy or sketchy, or just something i want to push out into the world without having to hunt for an outlet or intermediary. a real mix of stuff!

it’ll probably be updated sporadically, less newsletter and more letters from a friend showing up in your mailbox at random. and don’t you love getting mail?
